Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We currently use Avalara integrated with our Epicor ERP system. Once configured, Avalara verifies your shipment address and sets the tax rate for that invoice based on where it's delivered. We are putting a webstore online with amazon and we needed to provide taxing details for that store, Avalara Trustfile is made specifically for web stores.

  • Avalara now mates with quoting in epicor erp to show taxes. More and more customers need the total of what they may spend with taxes.
  • You are charged by transaction, not sure of an easier way, just make sure you purchase enough transactions for the year. Your sales rep can help figure that out
  • Not everyone uses Avalara the same way, we had to purchase avatax and trustfile to meet all of our taxing needs
  • Avalara insures you are charging accurate taxes.
  • For a few dollars extra, Avalara will compile all your tax documents and submit on your behalf
  • If you own avatax and are looking to have a web presence, trustfile from Avalara is a logical choice
Support is ready to handle questions quickly to get you up and running. Getting started guides are easy to follow.

Epicor ERP was as simple as putting in the url and credentials. Web store was a little more work but up and running in less than a day.
It does all your taxes without issue and you get alerted to tax nexus changes as they happen
We have not taken advantage of these features from Avalara. Having new finance leaders this year, they might take another look
Avalara just works without much intervention.
Avalara calculates taxes behind the scenes so you only deal with the exceptions. When you get an exception, it may not tell you the exact issue, just what it knows in its limited dialogue. Support can help diagnose the issues.
