Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

We currently have the Advantage Plan and begin using BambooHR as our HRIS in Fall of 2023, then began using it for Payroll the first of 2024. We plan to implement the Pro Package later this year. It's much easier to use than ADP and very intuitive. We are excited to have the Form Signature Options and use it for on and off boarding as well as recruitment.

Pros

  • Excellent training videos.
  • Three ways to request help phone, chat or support ticket.
  • Intuitive - easy to find things and make changes.

Cons

  • Have a more robust report builder that has all the data as a filter.
  • Not all reports are able to be downloaded in different formats. I would prefer, csv, excel and PDF for all.
  • More options in the report builder to be able to customize your own reports instead of having to pay at least $200 for a simple report.
  • Saves time and resources when communicating and update policies & information.
I left a lot of questions blank as we haven't use those features yet or are just starting to use them so I don't have feedback on them yet.

We like BambooHR enough to upgrade our current package to allow even more flexibility and time saving features.
Implementation was great. We have videos to watch, then we were taken through each task with a Support Person.

We implemented our HRIS first, then about 3 months later implemented Payroll. I think it would have been easier to implement them both at the same time, but the timing was our decision, not theirs.
I don't have the ability to run custom reports that I want or need. Some things that seem very basic to me are not included on standard reports (like Journal Entries). They definitely need to add a more robust report builder, what they have is not sufficient.
Much easier implementation and personal service. Cost is much more reasonable and far easier to use and receive assistance.

We are a small staff of 26 with three people maintaining different Features so it seems very easy to set-up and implement.

I'm not sure how it would work for a very large org.

BambooHR® Implementation

We implemented bambooHR in Fall, 2023 then implemented Payroll 1/1/24. A vital piece of information was not known or missed in that we are exempt from State Unemployment Tax and have a Reimbursement Set-up, so bambooHR did not send Payroll Reports to the State. Those reports need to be sent regardless if we are exempt or not.
Yes - I forget, however we had tasks to do/information to upload that would be imported and then training on how to do it ourselves, along with tutorials. It was easy and very helpful!
Not sure I understand the question. It was easy to implement and train Staff on using it.
