Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

We utilize the hiring, timekeeping, performance management, and payroll modules of BambooHR®. The system supports our business by providing our employees with a user-friendly system to stay connected and keep communications in one location. It has allowed us to bridge communication gaps that we previously experienced with our prior system while providing our employees with a secure portal for all of their employment resources.

Pros

  • Recruiting- communications are easy for both the internal team and candidates
  • Onboarding- the onboarding tasks are great. I love being able to attach documents as well as delay sending out tasks
  • Communication- the employee community is a great tool to keep our communications clean and organized. I love that we now have insight as to who has viewed the comms

Cons

  • I would love the ability to create sub folders within the company resource folders
  • I have ran into a few small issues with the total compensation statement and getting information to tie over correctly
  • An integration with JP Morgan's 401k portal would be amazing
  • An integration with Employee Navigator would be a game changer
  • improved onboarding- adding documents and due dates to tasks
  • time expenditure- we had printed documents initially. BambooHR® has saved me so much time with the electronic documents that automatically save in the employee record
  • streamlined processes- key features such as the signature documents, onboarding/offboarding tasks have streamlined my processes also allowing for increased time savings
Usability is one of the key reasons I suggested switching from our old platform to BambooHR®. The ability for the system to walk you through processes while you're learning, the aesthetically pleasing design, and the Ask feature pulling information from company documents, through both the generated response and the link to the resource, have elevated our experience.
Support has always been excellent. I was skeptical about not having a dedicated account manager at first, but my concerns were quickly eased. I love the different options for communication. Being able to chat, send emails or call a representative are great so that my workflow isn't disrupted by having to complete a call. I have never had an issue reaching anyone and the email follow up is great!
I love the headcount and turnover reports. I also utilize the compensation reports, such as pay history and bonus history often. My managers utilize the time keeping reports weekly to keep an eye on hours worked and who approved these hours. These are all reports that we historically did not have available to us.
I needed a system that was easy to use from an admin level as well as employee level. We run a pretty simple operation as we do not have shift diffs or multiple approval levels. Some of the systems reviewed were too much for us and, as a result, too expensive. BambooHR® fit our needs and budget accordingly.

BambooHR® is great for a small to mid-size company looking for a user friendly aesthetically pleasing solution. The payroll side is very well integrated and offers no blackout periods. I appreciated when product updates occur such as tying over holiday pay into payroll to make the system even more seamless.
