Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
BigCommerce hosts our online store (not corporate website) which offers our products to customers across the nation. It provides a spot for customers to view photos and pricing and place orders without having to call us. Our customer service and sales team largely manage the website but our operations team is pretty closely involved too as they ship the parts.
- Excellent customer service - easy to contact, quick to service, helpful results
- Simple to set up and maintain on the back end - ex. product categories, SEO
- Offer of seminars - updates of latest technology so users are always in the loop
- Shipping - we have set up shipping to be calculated by weight but sometimes during the checkout process the shipping costs are much higher than what they should be
- More integrations - could possibly add QuickBooks Enterprise, more shipping companies (especially 3rd party companies), etc
- Easier to navigate design mode - this is very difficult and I always end up having to call for support

We collect email addresses for a newsletter thru BigCommerce which we can then advertise to our customers thru our MailChimp account.
We are also set up to integrate with Zendesk which is great for chatting to customers as they shop. This allows us to target highly potential traffic and convert them to a sale our website with this personal service.
Our BigCommerce website is also a great help for our local customers who aren't necessarily purchasing thru the website as we are offering our install services as well but they can see all the different options and get a ballpark price.

- Reduce administrative time - customer can easily place orders online by having all the product details, photos, and shopping cart right in front of them versus having to call and speak to a sales rep.
- Increased sales - in just 2 years, BigCommerce has helped our website sales become 15% of our business! This is phenomenal because these are the easiest and quickest sales to process without too much maintenance.
- Increased awareness of our business/brand - many more customers are locating us versus our competition with so much more presence on the web, largely due to BigCommerce and its SEO.
- Shopify and WooCommerce
We found BigCommerce to have the widest range of customization for our application. The staff was very helpful and the trial period sold us; we liked how easy it was to set up our storefront and products even as only samples at that point. The pricing based on our sales was also most appropriate to us versus BigCommerce's. BigCommerce also came highly recommended to us from digital field experts.
