Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using Raiser's Edge NXT gives my organization the edge to quickly and efficently add gifts and data to the database, and also extract reports and information quickly. Having the dual views (webview and database view) gives each member of our department the functionality to decide which view works best for them. Major gift officers love to see all the donor information upfront in webview, and our back of house processing loves database view- with some additional webview features that come in handy!

Data Intelligence

We've been able to track and record appeal information efficiently, giving us insight into who is donating to what appeal- which gives the Direct Mail department accurate information to make informed decisions on the future of mailings. We've also been able to track giving of major donors in a way that helps the major gift officers keep in touch with folks who are most willing to help.

Online Training

The online training classes are $300 each, but I highly suggest purchasing the all-inclusive training pass for your organization to get access to all of the classes that will help folks at your org learn the most. Even seasoned professionals can re-take classes (and there's hundreds) to ensure that any new tips and tricks are picked up along the way. Online classes are live in real time, and other students in the class can sometimes offer insight that will help you as well.

There just is no system as robust and capable as Raiser's Edge NXT. It's ability to track anything you'd like, give you space to create custom fields (attributes) and utilize fields in different ways than intended give it the extra advatage that we hadn't seen in other products. It's got a vast network of plug ins that help automation features as well.

Raiser's Edge NXT is great for a mid to high level nonprofit who is looking for a way for Development to track gifts, sources, appeals, and fund designations in an easy way. Blackbaud really is the industry standard when it comes to gift processing, I have not heard of any other company or product being as robust as this. Might be a bit much for a nonprofit with less than 100 donors.
