Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine
We used BlackLine for accounting Journal entries during month end close and also we used account reconciliation module for reconciling all of our high risk reconciliations. We also used some level of Task module during our close. All of this modules helped to close our accounting books in a orderly manner.
Pros
- Journal entries are booked from one place and can be viewed by both reviewer and preparer.
- BlackLine makes review process easier.
- BlackLine makes paper less accounting environment.
Cons
- The integration of Blackline Journal module and our accounting ERP always challenging. Sometime we have to seek help from help desk to fix some issues such as failed Journal entries.
- Made close process faster by 50%.
- Increased transparency through daily reconciliations.
- Reduced time for daily reconciliations by 90%.
We did not evaluate anything other than BlackLine.
