Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We are currently using BlackLine for high volume matching, reconciliation, and evaluating a significant number of future use cases! Our main uses are for GL reconciliation and also matching between POS, Processors, and Bank. This is where it provides the most value today, we have a significant number of POS systems and BlackLine makes it easy to match against them all in one place.

Pros

  • Friendly user interface

Cons

  • I think more clear implementation instructions for new products, like how to get started
  • faster support responses
  • I want better documentation on the connectors
  • increased visibility
  • more efficient assignment process
  • easier system to navigate
recently I had a support ticket that wasn't updated for over a month but usually support is timely and effective!
Great guidance and super beneficial insights into what other customers are doing. Additionally they have connected use with other customers which is super helpful so we can learn from others.
I like that BlackLine has things built OOB versus in OneStream everything is configurable, which is a pro and a con but I mainly see it as a con. I like that there are recommended processes and configurations from BL OOB so our team doesn't have to figure everything out from scratch.

I think it's been great for matching and doing POS, to processor, to bank matching. As well as adding reconciliations to the system has been great. But overall matching between numerous POS systems is a really great strength!
