Overall Satisfaction with BrightEdge
BrightEdge is used in several departments but not all that could potentially use it. It helps us monitor ranking and other performance data for the keywords for which we have optimized keywords. It also helps us research competitor keywords and is able to make recommendations on the optimization of important pages.
- Keyword reporting
- Page reporting
- Competitor analysis
- Grouping of keywords (would prefer to tag keywords rather than maintain many groups as our keywords tend to span multiple groups)
- Grouping of pages (would prefer to tag pagesrather than maintain many groups as our pages tend to span multiple groups)
- More of the add-ons could be included in the base price, considering how high the base price is
- BrightEdge is expensive, but it is better suited to our needs than the much cheaper tool we used previously.
- It has allowed us to identify search opportunites that we might otherwise have missed.
- We are unable to use it to track more than the keywords we have optimized for, due to the per-keyword pricing. There are many more keywords we could potentially monitor, but the cost would be prohibitive and we'd be unable to justify it.
BrightEdge is able to do more in many ways - it's a more comprehensive tool for SEO keyword research (at least based on my personal experience) and also is able to present dashboards online, which was a major hurdle for us using the locally-installed version of AWR which could only publish HTML reports to a local or server folder, making it difficult to share. I believe the cloud version of AWR may be better at this, though.
