Overall Satisfaction with Brightpearl

We implemented Brightpearl internally and found this very easy to do, it took less than a month.
We struggle to get responses from Brightpearl support.
We use Brightpearl as our ERP and find it fulfills our needs to an extent for stock management and invoicing, We do not use the CRM function, as we do not find it adequate. We find the reporting function adequate but it is not meeting all of our requirements as a business.
  • Processing orders
  • Stock management
  • Communication
  • Brightpearl has let us down in terms of its functionality for us as a manufacturing and distribution business. My perception is that all their development has gone into developing the system for online retail and not for distribution businesses. I would highly recommend Brightpearl for online retailers but not for distribution businesses.
  • Based on my comment above, we do not find Brightpearl to be good value for money, for the functionality it provides us.
  • Brightpearl's CRM functionality falls flat, as it cannot be used well on a mobile device.
  • I'm neutral on this, we were operating as efficiently prior to Brightpearl.
We have considered moving to Xero, which would provide us with all the functionality that we receive from Brightpearl, it also integrates well with our CRM, which is a far better offering than Brightpearl's. It's only due to resource limitations that we have not made this switch.
Not a fair comparison, as it does cost far more but long term we will probably move to NetSuite.
In my opinion Brightpearl is well suited for retail businesses, less so for distribution businesses
