Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack

In our QA flow, we use BrowserStack in order to test our company mobile application on multiple devices. We have developed our mobile framework and we have integrated our infrastructure with BrowserStack. We are able to test the mobile application on multiple devices, split by iOS and Android, smartphone and tablet with different operation system versions and capabilities.
  • Mulitple devices
  • Report dashboard
  • Framework integration
  • Test observability
  • Report dashboard
  • Filters
  • Device capabilities
  • Multiple devices
  • Multiple operations systems
  • Multiple users
  • Team management
  • More then 300 mobile tests
  • Found regressions and stop deploy phase
  • Daily tests on specific app branch
  • Reduce live bugs
More or less the performance is good. Reports are complete enough but they can be improved, as with everything. I think all integrations kinda work as expected, but, of course, all can be improved. It is also difficult to stay aligned with all the services (third-party) and I understand the effort that developers use to maintain the app, but sometimes it's better to focus on fewer components to integrate it at its best.
We use BrowserStack as our device cloud main vendor, so we use the service as a fully-integrated part of our testing cycle (on a mobile app). After each run (nightly and so on) we will focus on bugs found and start our internal process to fix them. BrowserStack offers a good and simple interface to check what's happened and based on that, we focus on the issues.
BrowserStack offers a better interface and more robustness. The integration with our framework was easier after POC and testing the platform. Devices are enough based on our specifications and cover almost all vendors' requirements. Last, but not least, is the final cost of the application. This is another important part of our choice (meaning by the company).

Do you think BrowserStack delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with BrowserStack's feature set?

Yes

Did BrowserStack live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of BrowserStack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy BrowserStack again?

Yes

Positive overall. BrowserStack offers a good integration and we are able to test a lot of scenarios (meaning with mobile applications). Run time is appropriate. Of course, all can do better and improve all integrations, but BrowserStack is in a good way in my opinion. As a developer, I can focus on the documentation and I think it needs improvement to explain better all the functionalities. This does not mean documentation is not enough, but it is a little old (in some specific cases). Taking care of documentation is always a good choice.
