A Good Resource for a Global MarketingTech
Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use it quite often to QA new website features/pages before launch. Our demographic prefers certain devices and browsers, and we want to make sure everything is as smooth as possible before releasing to the masses. We also use it to replicate bugs for troubleshooting, because (of course) we don't have immediate access to every system, device, etc.
Pros
- Browser Testing
- Mobile and Desktop Testing
- System (OS) Testing
Cons
- UI is a bit busy
- Other internal products could be promoted less
- More seats on licenses
- Location Settings (VPN)
- System/Device Testing
- Automated Testing
- Our small team can do more
- We don't need employees in every region
- We spend less time bothering developers/IT
We could not easily access operating systems, browsers, and devices to test features or webpages that were still in the prelaunch or testing phase. It was a headache wandering around the office asking if someone had a certain model of an Android device or the latest Apple Phone model, for example.
- Live
- Chrome DevTools
Chrome DevTools is free, but it takes a lot of time to manually switch devices/models, etc. And it doesn't let you switch to another system or browser (of course). When we did use it more, we'd also have to find other Chrome extensions to make up for things it didn't have built in (e.g., location settings).
