Overall Satisfaction with Camtasia
I use Camtasia to edit client videos for YouTube, social media advertising, and email. It is a powerful and easy-to-use video editor with some good and free to use (and some to purchase) intros, outros, and music clips. It is easy to make each client's video brand their own and reproduce for multiple videos; no two client videos look or seem the same.
Pros
- Audio editing
- Video editing
- Adding text
- Adding transitions
Cons
- Saving assets to libraries--it is a current function and it may just be operator error (me), but I'm not always able to find where I've saved assets.
- Easy to find free music clips
- Easy audio edits/adjustments
- Nice transitions
- Multiple finished formats
- Easy upload to YouTube
- Positive ROI after doing only one video project
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and iMovie
I honestly have not worked with any others in at least three to four years. There is virtually no learning curve with Camtasia--super simple and does everything I need. I cannot say how others stack up currently, as there has been no reason to explore other options since using Camtasia.
