Overall Satisfaction with Canto

Our organization uses Canto both to manage existing creative assets (photography, renderings, etc.) and to manage inbound creative assets from our clients and contractors. This has given us better control over current versions and has greatly improved our pipeline in adding new assets to our libraries without introducing error.

Pros

  • Easy to navigate.
  • Convenient client/contractor upload links.
  • Portals are useful for branded client views.

Cons

  • UI functionality is a little outdated.
  • Versioning is cumbersome.
  • Our more hands-on clients have loved the branded portals.
  • Sharable upload links have.
Canto is fairly easy to navigate without additional support, but the team did make themselves available as we onboarded. The support was helpful for those on the team without previous experience using DAM software, but wasn't tremendously in-depth.
Despite a couple of issues we've run into with the UI (not responsive on smaller screens, higher resolution images don't always load on preview screens), Canto is easy enough to navigate and fairly intuitive.

Do you think Canto delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Canto's feature set?

Yes

Did Canto live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Canto go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Canto again?

Yes

Canto has been great for the basic needs of our organization and is a solid choice at the price point. A larger organization might more quickly run into some pain points, but it's been a great solution for our small creative team.
