Overall Satisfaction with Canto

We use Canto as a digital asset management tool to keep our venue assets organized, as we run 350 event venues worldwide, each with its own images, logos, etc. Canto allows us to give access to the venues, vendors, and to consultants to upload their content in a safe organized space. We can give all users the level of access they need to get their files, without seeing things they don't need. Overall, it's been a big help to the marketing department.

Pros

  • Permission/Access
  • File Structure Customization
  • Reports on Use

Cons

  • Would like more levels of access.
  • Would like to be able to copy file structures.
  • Would like A-Z sorting to be default.
  • User Experience
  • Security
  • Customization for our Unique Setup
  • Great User Experience
  • Helpful for sharing large files
  • Central Repository for our Assets
Canto was selected before I got my job, but I know that the executives on my team were replacing Egnyte, which they had used for many years. I'm not familiar with Egnyte, so I'm unsure why they wanted to make a switch, but we've all been happy with Canto's performance among our staff.

Do you think Canto delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Canto's feature set?

Yes

Did Canto live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Canto go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Canto again?

Yes

Canto is great for sharing large files like PowerPoint presentations or videos with others so that they are safe and do not clog anyone's inbox. Sharing photos with Canto is ideal because you don't have to compromise their quality like you do in an attachment. Canto is not ideal if you need too many admins because the seats are expensive.
