Overall Satisfaction with Canva
We use Canva for a lot of our images for organic and paid efforts, particularly for social media. We've used it some for printed media like eBooks and data sheets as well. We've found it does best for the more simple images because a lot of the functionality like bolding, linking words and etc is not incredibly easy for longer form content. The free images and such are good, and so are the premium ones. It's a bit annoying that things are shown to be $1 but then actually cost $11, though. We wish that it was a bit easier to make long-form content as well.
- Social Media Images.
- Free stock images.
- Easy and quick design for beginners.
- Longer form content -- Canva hard to use and clunky.
- A better folder system -- we don't want to have to see all designs.
- A better system for searching for images and such.
- Helps us get paid social campaigns live faster than waiting for a full mood board from a designer.
- Gives new life to our organic posts and increases interaction with fun images.
- Hasn't replaced a full-time designer.
Canva is a lot less expensive and doesn't require an expert to use. We chose Canva for its flexibility and ease of use, so that our team could make nice images without having to involve the full design team. We also liked that Canva was internet based, so if I had to switch computers I could do so without losing all of my work. The autosave feature is also nice.
