Overall Satisfaction with Catchpoint

Catchpoint provides synthetic user monitoring for our customer-facing propositions in the territory. We use it to check their availability and performance and receive notifications when Catchpoint detects an issue.

Pros

  • Availability monitoring of online customer facing propositions.
  • API monitoring.

Cons

  • The script recorder needs some work due to an update by Google deprecating the use of the current solution.
  • Loss prevention, early warning of issues.
Customer support is very good, they are responsive and listen to our suggestions for improvement.
Very quickly, the safe switch service was excellent.
In my opinion Catchpoint has not lost focus on synthetics like Dynatrace has. Catchpoint is increasing investment in its core monitoring network, while Dynatrace has shut down its backbone monitoring network.
