Overall Satisfaction with Chatter
We use chatter for initial support tickets, collaboration with our teams asking for advice, to assign tasks to teams, and track initial status. The use of team and key words allows us to track trends and see what still needs work. It is simple enough for end users to use, making it a great first line.
Pros
- Mentioning team
- Tracking topics
- Allowing reporting for others
Cons
- Setting permissions can get tricky
- It could be easier to combine asks
- More out of the box options
- Allows us to move faster
- Easy to know who should be doing what
- Easy to track progress
We have also tried to use Slack and Service Now. Service Now simply did not have the features we needed. Slack was useful but not nearly as good for the end users who simply want very simple. Slack confused the end user which caused them frustration, which also meant they did not fill out their form correctly, which meant more work for us on the backend.
