Overall Satisfaction with Checkout.com

Checkout.com is my payment gateway overall and acquirer in UAE and SG.
We sell only online.
We use Checkout.com for online sales of Hotels and Flights and for offline bookings via phone using pay per link. We are actively using the dashboard for reporting, analytics and using as well the dispute management module.
  • Reliability of the platform
  • Account management: bi-weekly calls and follow up by email or Slack, good understanding of our needs and high engagement
  • Technical account manager: as above, high engagement with us and sharing Checkout.com technical roadmap
  • Performance: with the recent enhancement in intelligent acceptance,
  • Mix of own and third party acquiring: this is much appreciated for a merchant like us to be able to process locally via third party acquiring when Checkout.com does not have its own
  • Commercials: some competitors provide better fees, especially for cross border transactions
  • Support team: the speed to get an answer can be improved
  • We would like more options when it comes to settlement currencies
  • $150k savings / year on fees by enabling local acquiring in Saudi
  • 1% increase in acceptance rate since the introduction of IA
It is indeed a valuable asset to receive insights on markets we are targeting. I have been using you knowledge very often on this. Understand the fraud patterns in different geographies is as well great value. The ability to leverage local acquiring partners has brought [...] huge benefits.
Account and Technical manager support is great. Level 1 and 2 could improve in terms of speed and quality.
My core market being the Middle East, Checkout.com has the advantage of being the most trusted and performing partner in the region. The others are behind and regional players by definition cannot support [...] globally.

If one is looking for a reliable and performing payment gateway I definitely recommend Checkout.com. Especially if the company is selling in many markets and wants to have a mix of local and cross border acquiring.
If cost is the only metric (although it should not be), some alternative providers do better.
