Overall Satisfaction with Chrome River EXPENSE
Chrome River is used by our all UK-based employees, with the vision to rollout globally to other countries we operate in. It takes many clunky, outdated systems we were running previously and brings a single system for users to become familiar with. The intention was to provide a user friendly interface which staff would enjoy, which it has done - ruined only by our own expense policy! Who likes a policy...
Pros
- Friendly user interface to provide a good user experience for our our employees.
- Great visual feedback for ease of use.
- Seamless integration with other systems.
- Industry-leading OCR technology.
Cons
- Handling of data for reporting/dashboards.
- Front-end control of the system (however this is improving).
- Quirky "issues" often not replicable, but without solution.
- Able to decommission multiple "hosted" solutions to use a single Cloud solution.
- Well managed solution takes pressure of system admins/accountants.
- Those moving from manual (spread sheet) type entry did not appreciate the change of habits needed.
Prior to implementation we had a number of solutions such as Infor XM and Expense 360, including a number of manual expense entry options via spread sheets. These, whilst having their own USPs were not complete solutions and were not geared to our industry in the way Chrome River is.
When looking at changing the system we did look at upgraded versions of the above systems, but none stacked up to what Chrome River could offer.
Also with market leading solutions which carried a large cost overage which did not justify a small increase in functionality over Chrome River.
