Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect
My company uses Cisco AnyConnect to connect to the company's network while working from home or anywhere outside the office. This allows users to access files in their network folders while connecting to their home wi-fi networks or even while they are having some coffee with friends in the nearest coffee shop.
- It allows you to connect to a private network while you are in a different network.
- Easy to connect and disconnect.
- Integrates with SSO.
- It shows errors once in a while.
- When you have two environments, sometimes the window to select them is visible to the user if they are not allowed to access one or another but have the option to select, it causes confusion.
- The tray icon looks very similar to the Webex icon, which sometimes misleads users (not really a big of a deal).
- Improved the connectivity for remote users.
- Local users can work from home more often with the same level of access they have in the office.
- Much fewer errors and crashes for executives and users that need fast responses and cannot waste time.
The main reason that makes Cisco AnyConnect shine bright against the others is the quality of connection users have while using it. With F5 BIG-IP or Microsoft DirectAccess, users and even I experienced crashes and disconnections very often, as well as problems to start using DirectAccess while in the hotel or store wireless networks.
