Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect

Cisco AnyConnect is used in our organization to connect our remote employees to our organization's on-premise recourses. The business problems Cisco AnyConnect addresses are remote employee/user security, access to on-premise resources, and remote access to intranet sites. The scope of the use case is all employees within the organization and across a multitude of countries and timezones.

Pros

  • Cisco AnyConnect allows remote access to organization's on-premise resources
  • Cisco AnyConnect allows for quick and fast bandwidth
  • Cisco AnyConnect helps connect remote and on-premise users

Cons

  • Cisco AnyConnect sometimes connects to the wrong/unintended VPN network
  • Cisco AnyConnect could connect to the VPN quicker
  • Cisco AnyConnect has a tendency to change IP Address locations by significant geographical distance
  • Great functionality and ease of use at a reasonable price
  • Connects remote employees quickly and efficiently to organization resources
  • Allows for remote teams to connect quickly
Cisco AnyConnect is very simple to use. The VPN addresses can seamlessly be added via Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Group Policy, allowing for a smooth remote IT setup experience. Once the default VPN has been setup Cisco AnyConnect will start on Windows login and will automatically connect to the default VPN, without any effort on the end user's behalf.
Cisco AnyConnect has provided our organization with quick, efficient and simple remote access to organization intranet and on-premise resources. Furthermore, Cisco AnyConnect provides seamless endpoint and network security. Our organization has benefited from this software by allowing our remote users the same access as our on-premise staff. Cisco AnyConnect is a great help to our organization.
I have not contacted support for this product.
Cisco AnyConnect is significantly easier to use on an enterprise-wide enrollment than ExpressVPN. Cisco AnyConnect allows our remote users the same security and network access as our on-premise users. In addition, Cisco AnyConnect is super simple to deploy via Microsoft SCCM and Windows Group Policy allowing for a seamless remote IT setup experience.

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco AnyConnect's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco AnyConnect live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco AnyConnect go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco AnyConnect again?

Yes

Cisco AnyConnect is well suited for connecting remote employees to on-premise resources and to an organization's intranet sites while maintaining high internet security. On the other hand, Cisco AnyConnect is less appropriate for providing VPN tunneling to allow access to geofenced content in other nations. Cisco AnyConnect works very well for business-related purposes but leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to personal use cases.
