Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella

It provides us control of employee and guest user access over internal and guest wireless. Also, delivers control over Internet browsing. With it, we able to have another defense layer for all our users and guests through filtering URLs and domains of malicious and suspicious sites. We also integrate with our SIEM for notable events, alerting, dashboards, reporting, and monitoring of our wireless users.
  • It is fast, reliable, and easy to deploy.
  • It has documentation and a knowledge base available.
  • It can be integrated with our other security and monitoring tools.
  • It provides flexibility and high availability for our DNS services.
  • Knowing Cisco, sometimes it is highly expensive.
  • Maybe in the future, it can be bundled to other Cisco products and portfolios especially on the cloud space.
  • It has bulk whitelisting for domains and URLs.
  • Easy to deploy and implement especially on small and edge locations or sites
  • Easy to integrate with Cisco and other non-Cisco networking and security solutions
  • Provides the features of visibility and secured networking especially for wireless demands
What we love about Cisco Umbrella is that it is non-intrusive in the sense that it does not add more weight to the traffic on the user’s machine or even to traffic in transit. It is very valuable regardless if deployed internally or on edge sites. Rest assured that it is easy to deploy and set up. For best security defense, having Cisco Umbrella inside and outside the firewall is highly recommended.
Yes, we are able to integrate it with our SIEM and ticketing systems for manageability, alerting, and visibility. We are also able to communicate or connect it with other network and security services. It is also compatible with legacy systems and open source security platforms. We leverage API for all our integration activities for Cisco Umbrella. In the future, we have a plan to integrate it with our customer-facing services.
Cisco Umbrella support is always responsive and provides the complete details we need in times of interruption, feature requests, and even minor inquiries or clarifications. It educates us during the process so we can troubleshoot and support it easier next time. It also follows up on the status of our inquiries and concerns.
Apparently, Cisco Umbrella is our first and only choice. We did not gamble and waste resources on other competitors or alternatives in regards to what Cisco Umbrella is offering.
Cisco Umbrella is well suited to the small, medium, and even enterprise-level scope and demands of highly available and secured wireless connection. It has documented and well-proven integration to other products for centralized management and administration. At least on our end, it exceeds our expectations because it really provides the right tooling. It has good support options via knowledge base or resource support from Cisco, and the console is very straightforward in terms of security.
