Cisco Umbrella: At work and at home
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella
I had trialed it previously but actually have deployed it also at home with the Meraki Go setup I have too. Its simplicity of usage, installation, and configuration in that setup is outstanding and a great benefit to add those extra layers of security to home use without being expensive.
Pros
- Management
- Ease of use
- Price
- Setup configuration
Cons
- Price
- Protection inside and outside
- Perimeter secured
Its simplicity over other comparable products means you can set up, configure, and deploy in a global fashion for your entire organization with minimal initial configuration and start protecting both perimeter and endpoints right away. Afterwards, you can get more granular, but 'out-of-the-box' you get a nice layered blanket of protection.
Actually, I ended up also using this with my own home/SMB network by purchasing and integrating it with my Meraki Go hardware I had purchased also earlier this year. This way, inside my organization, outside and at home there are many layers of security and assurance of protection with minimal fuss or issue.
