Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

Cisco Webex Meetings is being used by the entire institution and all departments on a daily basis for meetings, conferences, and clinical activities. It addresses web conferencing opportunities, team meetings, and consultations within the institution and the community. It is the preferred method of communication chosen by the institution and it is integrated into our business email for quick access.
  • Easy integration to our email services
  • Availability for external users to join the meetings
  • Security option to close the meetings in order to make them private
  • Ability to share screen when presenting
  • Option to share files and save them to the meeting might be a great option to add.
  • The ability to customize the views of the participants will make it easier to focus on one person, especially when there’s external noise.
  • I suggest making the chat feature more user-friendly. It is easy to mistakenly send a message to the wrong person or to everyone.
  • Our department uses Webex Meetings 90 percent of the time for our online meetings.
  • The security features integrate perfectly with our company.
  • It is easy to use for quick meetings even with people who don’t have the application.
The Webex Meetings support usually responds quickly to emails and they have great documentation with instructions that can be followed easily on their website. So far, they have been able to solve all the problems that I have been faced with while using Webex, which include audio and video issues and some connection problems.
Webex Meetings has been adopted company-wide. The usage by department varies, but in the current pandemic situation, it is used daily and it is the preferred method of communication due to accessibility that it provides throughout the different devices. Definitely more than 85% of the employees are using Webex for all the meetings that they need to attend or offer.
  • Canvas
  • Outlook
  • Blackboard
Integration to Canvas was not difficult, but it is confusing as to how to set the meetings from student and teacher perspective. More documentation is needed on this type of integration.
Cisco Webex Meetings is suitable for meetings consisting of small groups. I would have to say no more than 20 people unless only a couple of people are going to be presenting and the other people are going to be observing. It is not appropriate for large groups, where there are going to be discussions. If this is the option, I suggest trying Cisco Webex Events.

Cisco Webex Experience

The latest update that now includes automatic noise suppression, real-time transcription, note-taking, and personalization has been a great improvement on the Cisco Webex Meetings side. Our users are now able to listen and speak more clearly in environments that are considered too noisy for a meeting. The ability to capture real-time transcription has allowed users to get a better understanding of what is going on in the meetings, and it helps meet accessibility standards. The note-taking option is a good feature, but I do not know if people are trying it. The personalization options provided by Cisco Webex Meetings have made scheduling meetings easier to customize by allowing the host to quickly activate and deactivate features that an attendee might or might not need.
Aside from using Cisco Webex Meetings, we have been using Webex Teams, Webex Events, and Webex Trainings. Each tool has its own strengths. For instance, Webex Teams is used daily for quick communication with the team members. We use it for feedback and even offer support with the screen sharing option. Webex Events has allowed us to offer several informative sessions for the anyone interested in joining us. The ability to assign specific roles has made it simple to manage the events. Lastly, Webex Trainings offers a nice experience for people wanting to participate in interactive activities.
When I create any Cisco Webex Meeting I do not worry much about the security. If you assign the correct roles, you know who has access to your meeting settings. If you see a participant who is not suppose to be there, you can easily expel him or her from the meeting. The host settings makes it simple to control what each person or group can use or see.
