Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings

Webex is used across our firm to host and conduct webinars with both internal and external employees. It is used to conduct sessions with large number of participants and generally when it is like a broadcast session. Webex gives good control to the host, allowing them to mute/unmute others at once, release poll questions, share responses with panelist.

  • Control to the host for managing the meeting.
  • Conducting poll questions.
  • Questions to just panelist or entire audience.
  • High clarity in terms of both - video and audio.
  • User interface to be more friendly and modern.
  • When sharing screen, the control buttons is difficult to manage. It hides on top and sometimes is difficult to access or keeps coming in way of showing something on top part of screen.
  • Ability to customize the colour of the window. It is very out dated and not modern like new apps like Zoom or Teams.
  • Used in firm to conduct virtual trainings and have been easy for both the organizers and participants.
  • No prior knowledge needed on how to use, hence easy to adapt.
  • No special software installation is needed as can use web version, again making it easy to adapt.
Webex has better organizing and host options compared to Teams and Skype, for example polling is easier, uploading slides in advance is easier, option oh having anonymous responses.

Zoom is equivalent to Webex and is now becoming more popular due to its better user interface, ability to have breakout rooms, etc.

Do you think Webex Meetings delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex Meetings's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Meetings live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Webex Meetings go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

Never had any issue with Webex. However, its usage is costly compared to apps like Zoom, hence teams are now more inclined towards using Zoom.
As a user, never faced any issue and have seen it to be the first choice for conducting any webinars in our firm. Though Zoom and MS Teams live is now a strong competitor.
Takes some time to load which initially gives a sense as if we have entered a wrong password or something, however once loaded it works perfectly fine. Streaming or screen sharing is also real time without any delays or lag, which is quite common in tools like MS Teams.

Polls are also instant and without any delays.
Best suited for:

  1. Conducting broadcast sessions or webinars with larger audience.
  2. Where panel prefers to have anonymous way of asking or answering questions to the group.
  3. Multiple hosts need to present.

Less suited for small group meetings, just conversational meetings with no screen sharing or where everyone has equal participation i.e. no specific host/organizer needed.
