Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp for cross-departmental communication, development work, and projects. We also document department-specific SOPs, client communications, and client account updates. ClickUp is also integrated with Slack, our Platform, and Intercom. ClickUp boards are used for each department to keep information organized. We rely on ClickUp functionality daily and use features such as Docs, Clips, and Teams to ensure transparency and organization within the company.

Pros

  • Task movement using Groups on Spaces
  • Clips to visually document and record information
  • Spaces to keep each department organized.

Cons

  • Main search bar is very glitchy
  • Setting up notifications on a per team basis.
  • ClickUp extension disconnects regularly.
  • ClickUp has made it significantly easier to ensure daily work is visible to all.
  • Task planning and time management is a struggle for my team on ClickUp notifications are not set up correctly and/or not working
  • Frequent changes on the layout of ClickUp creates a significant learning curve and time for my team to re-adjust.
Transparency: ClickUp allows me to give all employees access to view/follow/work on tasks even if the task lives in a different department's space. This is also helpful for new-hire training as they can follow along with the standard workflow.

Individual accountability: The ability to assign tasks, comments, checklists to an individual team member ensures the right person is completing the right work.
We were able to eliminate two other applications when we transitioned to ClickUp. We were using a separate system for client tickets and internal training.

We were also able to use the forms feature to ensure tasks assigned have the relevant information needed. This reduced time spent on calls/chats between departments.

It is convenient that ClickUp integrates with a number of other applications we use daily.
It is relatively simple to set up and use, although a number of members on my team struggle with setting up accurate notifications or following along in a specific space's workflow.

ClickUp does offer the features and tools we require.
  • Salesforce Data 360
I used Salesforce at my last job and would recommend ClickUp if utilizing the product for more than just sales. My last company tried using Salesforce for a number of other actions, such as department project tracking, client documentation, and outbound communication which did not work well. ClickUp is far better at managing multiple levels of organization within a company.

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

When we first began using ClickUp, we had alternative applications for client communication. Using ClickUp to document, store, and resolve client tickets is not ideal.

The ClickUp fields that show up on every single task, even when blank, makes it difficult to determine what is actually needed.

ClickUp has made a number of significant changes to how it functions within the last few years and not all of them, in my opinion are better. We have a hard time getting used to the new layouts and as mentioned, this is relied upon daily by every department.
