Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare

Cloudflare is in use for many domains under my control. It is an efficient tool to mitigate DDOS and other traffic concerns for websites. It is also a DNS management utility for domain records. This is in use for my primary domain and can even keep a website online when it is down.
  • DDOS attacks, it protects against them once nameservers are pointed at the system. CloudFlare does a good job even with their base package.
  • DNS record updates, it is very quick and easy to add or change DNS records. One of the best tools and easy to use for DNS management.
  • Reviewing traffic, CloudFlare does an excellent job of providing insight into how a website fares and how much good / bad traffic is hitting it.
  • It could use a better introduction to all of its features. Even the basic package has a lot of features and one is left to discover all of it on one's own.
  • CloudFlare provides great information about your website and traffic.
  • DNS management, very quick to propagate new and updated DNS items.
  • Website caching, free feature that provides your site to visitors even when it's offline.
I have not used another product that directly with CloudFlare. I have used GoDaddy extensively for website hosting and traffic reviewing. GoDaddy does a very good job as well, but their interface is not as user friendly as CloudFlare. While CloudFlare does not compete with GoDaddy with as many products, it is superb for it's role.
CloudFlare does a superb job of being a one-stop-shop for domain services. It updates you if there are any security threats as well as provides best practice recommendations including SSL certificates and other secure traffic concerns. The base package is useful just to see the traffic hitting one's website and how many are "unique" visitors.
