Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare

I currently use Cloudflare when setting up new websites and for my own company website. It offers ultra-secure SSL encryption and protects against website hacking. Cloudflare is included into any website package I offer because it offers piece of mind for both myself and my clients. I've used the attack protection once when I had a client of mine referred another business owner who's site was hacked and was unable to get into their wordpress site and was afraid they had lost everything. It was less than 24 hours before Cloudflare had returned the fully clean, secure and complete site. With that type of service and response time for such a significant issue, I was a customer for life.
  • SSL Encryption
  • WAF
  • CDN
  • Attack Protection
  • Customer Service
  • I think for an average business owner with not a lot of technical expertise, it would be difficult to set up or hard to use
  • SLA uptime - it's not included with the pro package but would be a great feature inclusion.
  • Rate limiting - also not included in the pro plan but protects against one issue that I see most often which is brute force password attempts.
  • SSL Certificates
  • WAF
  • CDN
  • For my website and my client's websites, I don't have to worry at all about them getting hacked. I also get a lot of compliments for including that in our website packages because so many web design companies don't.
  • THE CDN (Content Delivery Network) is amazing! It makes web pages load extremely fast which benefits the company as well as the clients.
  • It does add additional costs to my packages and I find some people don't want to use it at all which is really the only negative impact it has.
I've used Sucuri in the past and they are comparable but I found Cloudflare to have a more streamlined interface and the pricing is super clear. Sucuri has large annual plans only for website security which is nice but not all clients want to bill annually. The time to remove malware from a website is also slower than Cloudflare and although I've only had to use it once, I'd much rather have a shorter turn-around time than to have to wait or purchase an even more expensive package.
