Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare to protect our web infrastructure. They provide our nameservers, DDOS protection and caching - which we've found much better than on-prem product solutions. We also have found Cloudflare great for SSL. It was easy to transition to https using the Cloudflare tooling. There are a couple of hidden features - such as page rules - which make the business case remain at Cloudflare.
- DDOS protection
- Web caching
- Page Rules
- Nameservers and domain registration
- There are many, many features, and finding the best way to get an outcome could be easier.
- Differentiating between free and paid services is sometimes unclear.
- Denial of service protection
- Domain registration and nameservers and DNS
- Page rules to help forwarding
- Cloudflare has many features which are complimentary so ROI is first day of live.
- We moved from other nameservers which were most more costly (and less feature-complete) to Cloudflare which had a faster ROI.
Cloudflare has a much more robust set of features, many of which are complimentary for our usage levels.
