Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare

We implemented Cloudflare initially to address denial of service attacks we were experiencing. After a successful implementation, we moved to implement their WAF, Access, and DNS products.

Their Access product has been instrumental in allowing external developers to securely access our internal web servers. Overall we have had a great experience with every product we have implemented.
  • Denial of service protection
  • Web Application Firewall
  • Zero-Trust Access
  • Zero-Trust Client on PCs isn't polished enough for production deployments
  • Granular access to specific resources in the portal is not possible
  • Troubleshooting Access issues requires support
  • Saved $28,000/year by using cloudflare access to grant external developers access without needing to use a citrix license to access internal resources
  • Eliminated all DOS attacks
  • Reduced the traffic from our origin web servers to the internal by 90% using the cloudflare cache
We had dedicated engineers, and the success team is always happy to get on a call with us to address any issues we are having when evaluating new products, or trying to setup any existing products we own.
Most support is web-based, however, if I am having a significant issue my account rep has been able to get a resource on the phone for me to speak with. When working through the web-based support, it can take several days to get a resolution to the problems.

Do you think Cloudflare delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cloudflare's feature set?

Yes

Did Cloudflare live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cloudflare go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cloudflare again?

Yes

Highly recommended to secure web applications, host DNS zones, and provide web-based access to internal resources.

They still have some work to do when trying to allow access to non-web resources. The Zero-Trust product has a lot of maturing to do.
