Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use this in our information technology department for remote access to provide end user support and to access our own equipment at remote locations.
Pros
- Excellent for accessing computers with multiple monitors. Other software we have used in the past either did not support this at all or were difficult to use.
- We use the hosted product and the ability to access the dashboard from anywhere without using a VPN is particularly useful. We are always on call and have had many a time when we've had to remote in to fix a problem from a restaurant or the side of the road.
- ConnectWise is extremely easy to use. We've used other products in the past and feel that the layout of the dashboard and the ease of access to necessary functions is far superior in ConnectWise.
Cons
- We would like to the ability to have multiple YubiKeys attached to a single account.
- We would love to have the ability to boot to the BIOS.
- We would like the ability to spoof multiple monitors on machines that do not have any physical monitors actually attached to them.
- We wish the Linux client worked better, but understand that's a Java issue and not your primary market.
- Eliminates most of the trips we used to make to other locations. We would probably need at least one more person in our department to handle our current load if we did not have ConnectWise Control.
ConnectWise Control is far superior to all of these in our opinion. Radmin used to be our go-to product many years ago, but required a VPN to access the clients.
