Overall Satisfaction with Constant Contact
Constant Contact is a robust email program that is easy to use and configure. We use it for multiple clients who need email for prospecting and for communication with current clients. It allows for integration with social media and use for events.
Pros
- Latest email capabilities
- Solid support is just a phone call or email away
- Great training and support for partners
Cons
- Constant Contact was becoming dated but has recently updated and is as current with social media and other tools as any other.
- I believe Constant Contact is slightly more expensive than MailChimp but at this price point the cost is insignificant compared to the time I can save with.
- Improved customer contact - helps keep our clients in front of ongoing customers, leading to easier upsells and better customers retention
- Able to train staff to use the system - don't need a lot of specialized skills
I have used MailChimp which competes with Constant Contact. MailChimp is also a solid program though it seems as if their emails are filtered more strongly - not sure about that point, however. Big difference is the support. Constant Contact has very high level support that can assist with email marketing strategy as well and basic button pushing. This helps us be sure the right content and format are used.

No - Support included as basic service is more than sufficient.
When we wanted in integrate PURLs (personal URLs) that corresponded with a direct mail campaign, the support staff was willing to try something new to accommodate.
