Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Coupa is being used by all employees at my company to purchase goods or services (for business purposes) from vendors and/or suppliers. Coupa is utilized to ensure all employees purchase goods from preferred vendors and/or suppliers, secure appropriate approvals, and follow company policies when purchasing good and services (for business purposes).

Pros and Cons

Pros

Coupa is great at ensuring employees follow company policies for generating and processing purchase orders
Coupa is great at providing approvers with a synopsis of the details of a purchase order

Cons

Coupa's UI is not intuitive
Coupa has far too many notification options for users to manage
Coupa's support is extremely limited and slow

Return on Investment

Coupa helps ensure virtually all purchase orders are in compliance with company policies
Coupa makes it easy to audit previously processed purchase orders

Alternatives Considered

Procurify

I briefly used Procurify and its UI is far more intuitive and its reporting capabilities are far more robust.

Other Software Used

Zoom, Google Data Studio

Likelihood to Recommend

Coupa is well suited for making sure that purchase orders are in compliance with company policies. It is great for imposing specific requirements on how purchase orders are processed. The UI of Coupa is however not very intuitive, which can make it difficult for an individual completing a purchase order to recognize what they are missing.
