Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cvent across our whole organization and for all clients. We are an association management company and utilize Cvent management, eMarketing, and member management.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Professional and polished website registration pages
Handles multi-day sessions and event tracks well
Great reporting
Management of CEs and issuing certificates

Cons

Need to invest in training to understand how to properly set up contact types and registration paths correctly.
Pricing for Onsite solutions and Inquisium is by piece/unit versus having it either on or off to use.

Return on Investment

We shortened sending out CE certificates from 8 business days to 1 day.
We have saved 3 days with 2 employees wages in prepping for the event for attendee management, budgets, name tags and reporting.

Alternatives Considered

Wild Apricot, Eventbrite and Constant Contact

We struggled with managing different registration paths and multi-track sessions. We were constantly combining spreadsheets and would be off for official numbers. CVENT has mitigated this and has brought a better client journey.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are finding yourself using multiple spreadsheets to manage your event and need to track sessions and CEs, Cvent does an excellent job. We have used or reviewed many event software and Cvent definitely stands out as the best.
