Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management
Our events department is using Cvent to streamline our event registration process. From small groups of 20 to larger groups of over 1,000, we are using Cvent to create a more streamlined process for our members from the event website and registration experience to onsite registration and the event app.
- Platform training.
- Event website.
- Event registration.
- Communication between departments.
I have used other, smaller event management companies. They tend to be more hands-on, but have fewer "bells and whistles." Ultimately, we chose Cvent because we wanted a company that had already done what we were asking for as opposed to a company that had to figure out a way to do what we wanted.
There are tons of people that can help you as you learn how to use Cvent. The dilemma is that sometimes there are too many people and they don't always communicate. I've had over 7 people contact me over the past 6 months either due to internal turnover or just being the point person for a specific department. I find myself telling different employees about other conversations I have already had with other employees.

The more live events you plan, the more useful Cvent is. And the more repetitive your events are (same format, annual events, etc) the easier it is to minimize time spent building out each event. It is also useful to streamline your event process and give your events a uniform look.
