Overall Satisfaction with Cvent Event Management

We use it for all of our client events where registration is required. To track all attendees, collect payments, and send out important correspondence.
  • Tracking attendee data, such as personal info, payments, refunds, and all event related data.
  • Flex events: Very user friendly and easy to build dynamic websites that are visually pleasing.
  • Community: Articles, webinars, videos for all products, and solutions. Customer service is always available if there is an issue.
  • Better ability to make changes to an individual's registration without having to go through the entire registration process.
  • More customization with regards to photo and widget sizing while building a website.
  • Figure out a way to decrease the odds that an email sent to an attendee doesn't automatically go to their spam/junk folder. Although there is a meter present on every email which indicates the likelihood that your email will go to junk, I don't believe it's accurate.
  • Being able to change the dates of the event and all components such as hotel and travel requests when people are already registered. Currently, it's a nightmare because you can't simply change the dates. There are several steps and processes to go through which create a lot of extra manual work and take precious time away.
  • I don't work with the numbers so I'm not sure about the ROI, but we are a 3rd party event management company so we use the software for all of our clients and their individual events/meetings/incentive trips.
  • The software has enabled us to create beautiful and dynamic websites that our clients are impressed by. Even better that we manage everything so they don't have any work to do. Make their jobs and lives easier.
  • Negatively, sometimes we encounter major glitches during registration where attendees get stuck on a particular screen so we end up having to call and/or make changes on our end. It takes a lot of our time and can be very frustrating to the attendee to have to invest more time into registration when they should just be able to do it themselves.
Cvent is the first software I have ever used.
I am always able to contact someone either on the phone or via chat for support if I can't find a relevant article in the community.

Great for express registration where all you need to know is the name of who is coming and other basic information and payment is not necessarily required. Also great for complex multi-day events such as conferences or conventions where you want people to choose an agenda, optional items, and make payments. I can't think of a scenario where it would not be appropriate.
