Overall Satisfaction with D&B Hoovers

The main challenge our business has had with D&B Hoovers is the fact that it doesn't integrate with our current CRM system. This makes it a bit more difficult but not impossible to work with. The primary users of D&B Hoovers at our organization is the business development team. Each associate uses this software to search for key contacts in the businesses we are prospecting.

  • Easy to extract info to excel
  • User friendly

Cons

  • Making it integrate with most or all CRMs
  • Making it more cost friendly
  • Providing constant updates on the contacts as people move around
  • It has had a positive impact on our sales team
  • It has minimized our prospecting time
  • We have been awarded more contracts due to the help of D&B Hoovers
For our business D&B Hoovers does offer the company data needed to help with our prospecting. We utilize the filtered search sometimes to create new marketing campaigns that are targeted.
For the most part yes, D&B Hoovers provides us with the contact data needed. We are usually okay with a phone number, name, title, and email which it typically has.
Honestly, because of our satisfaction with D&B Hoovers we have not actively looked into other alternatives in the last 8 years. We selected it originally because of the price, reputation, and we had a client using it at the time that recommended it.

There was one prospect that I was trying to get to and the department I would reach just acted the best they could as gatekeepers. Due to D&B Hoovers, I found a different contact who then ultimately helped our business secure a contract with. It would have been extremely difficult to reach that contact had it not been for D&B Hoovers.
