General revenue numbers and employee counts are also helpful, plus any relevant current news or articles written on the company.

D&B Hoovers provides all of the initial company data I am typically looking for in order to get a solid foundation for prospective client searching. The information surrounding locations and basic industry information related to the company are among the most helpful features. Information related to credit worthiness is a useful feature as well.

Contact Data

The contact information that is available in D&B Hoovers is more than sufficient. Location is the most helpful for my business, though I wish I could go a little deeper on additional locations, especially for manufacturing companies that have a more extended footprint across states and potentially internationally. All other typical contact information is always included and reliable.

I've used Candid GuideStar in the past, though for different reasons than D&B Hoovers. I mostly only use D&B Hoovers now and will continue to do so.
