Overall Satisfaction with Dayforce

The business problems that Dayforce addresses is creating a very modular approach to our Global organization. While other HRIS systems were more exact in the set up that we could implement, Dayforce really lets us have more control over the structure that we design for our org in our system. The modularity allows us to better plan for our workforce future.

Pros

  • I really enjoy the ticketing system in Dayforce. We previous HRIS systems, I always had to call and stay on the phone when I needed help. The ticketing system much better fits my needs because I can easily put in a ticket and continue working.
  • I enjoy being connected with a CSM following implementation. Our CSM has been key in working out any kinks in our system.
  • I enjoy the Dayforce Education portal where I can upskill and learn on-demand.

Cons

  • A lot of reps that get assigned to tickets can be from other locations outside the US. Sometimes this can be difficult if the issue involves a US-based payroll or benefit issue.
  • In certain areas, the system could be more user friendly. Sometimes key things are hidden away and make it hard to find unless someone is able to show you.
  • The user interface could be a little bit livened up and "prettier."
  • We received a positive impact on having Open Enrollment completed through Managed Benefits.
  • We have received a positive impact on payroll audit through managed payroll.
  • We have received a positive impact on employee profile modularity.
Having Payroll, HR, Time, and Benefits all in a single application with Dayforce has significantly improved efficiency and accuracy. Unlike other solutions with third-party integrations, Dayforce eliminates data silos, reduces errors, and saves time by streamlining processes, providing a more cohesive and user-friendly experience. Dayforce also had a competitive price point versus competitors.

Do you think Dayforce delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Dayforce's feature set?

Yes

Did Dayforce live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Dayforce go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dayforce again?

Yes

I think Dayforce is a great option for a large and/or Global organization. I do not think it would be the best fit for a very small company or business. It really shines for enterprise organizations with multi-locations. While a small business could use it, I would say it has too many bells and whistles that might feel overwhelming to a smaller organization.

Using Dayforce

300 - All employees across all functions utilize Dayforce either from an employee view or as a privileged user (utilizing a role such as MS Client Admin, MS Benefits, MS PR, etc). This includes Human Resources, Finance, AP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, etc. Terminated users also have access to minimal functionality such as the ability to pull tax and earning statements from the Terminated role.
3 - There are about three Human Resource representatives that provide in house support to our Dayforce users. This includes assistance with onboarding, adding direct deposit, managing MFA, managing emergency contacts, updating demographic data and more.

This also includes management of promotions, demotions, transfer, merit increases, bonuses and payroll support as well.
  • Employee Self-Service
  • Payroll Processing
  • Benefit Management
  • Mobile app has been key for employees
  • Organizational structuring support
  • Tax fallout support
  • Onboarding - which we currently do not havw
  • Training/LMS
  • LOA tools - I believe we have but don't currently utilize
We enjoy using Dayforce and plan to continue to utilize its services. Like all HRIS systems, there are many pros but also cons. Ceridian Dayforce is extremely modular which fits our global organization very well. It is a high powered HRIS that can always get the job done. The cons are sometimes the software is so modular that things can be buried and not user-friendly.
