Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

As a caterer with a highly seasonal workforce, Deputy has proven to be a huge help with rostering across multiple sites and functions. Receiving confirmation of a shift via the app saves me plenty of time in sending multiple messages to staff and puts my mind at ease with a million different other things going on. The timesheet feature has also been handy too. Would highly recommend it as an affordable staff management tool.
  • Rostering.
  • Timesheets.
  • Staff messaging.
  • Mobile app slightly clunkier to use than desktop.
  • Saved time chasing up timesheets.
  • Massive time saving on rostering and messaging staff.
Have previously dabbled with desktop SMS delivery services however on the recommendation of an industry colleague tried Deputy and haven't looked back. It covers all of our rostering requirements in one place and also presents an easy-to-read layout.

Overall it performs as described and is easy to use from both a staff and management perspective. I particularly like the request confirmation feature as it eliminates having to chase up unfilled spots on the roster. The only small criticism might be that the mobile app usability could be slightly improved.
Very happy with the implementation of Deputy within our organisation. Easy email or SMS invitation system for staff who all found it to be a straightforward and simple process to sign up to, which was to be expected as by now most of them are well familiar with similar processes.
Deputy is a great software product for an ever-changing seasonal casual workforce working across multiple sites and venues with varying lengths of shifts. Although I imagine it would still serve a great purpose, it may not be as useful for regular single location workplaces with recurring rosters and staff.
