Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

I use Deputy for time and attendance tracking with several of my clients. We needed an easy time tracking app with no learning curve. We also needed one that exported hours to QuickBooks Online. Deputy is super-easy to onboard with new employees and managers love the oversight it gives them as to where and when the team is clocked in.
  • Time tracking for payroll.
  • Location tracking of clock-ins.
  • QuickBooks Payroll integration.
  • Leave tracking - it is available, but would be nice to have a more simple report or sheet view of this.
  • Saves much time in preparing time for payroll.
  • It gives an approval process for timesheets and we push that to the approving manager, which saves us time from tracking down corrections.
The return on investment is quick at Deputy's price point. It is a simple app compared to the other options available and results in a quicker onboarding.

This really was my number one requirement. I had to be able to deploy quickly with limited training for my staff and for the client's manager and staff. In the support articles, Deputy has answered most of the questions without ever reaching me. I also provide links to those to the users in case they need them.
Very satisfied with the implementation. One of my favorite features is you can provide a sign-up link for your Deputy account to enable new users to request an account. It sends you an approval request. This reduces a step in someone setting it up.
I have been able to scale Deputy with 1 employee all the way to 250 employees in a single organization. It is easy for the single user but has scaled well in the larger organization. Deputy is priced in a way that it's affordable for the smaller entities as well. It's rare to find a solution that can be deployed to any size like this.
