Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy for scheduling support work for our NDIS clients. The staff are rostered up to two weeks in advance. Staff interacts with Deputy using their mobile phone to log on and off, record any shift notes and record any authorized travel with their own vehicle. Once timesheets are approved, we export them out into Xero for payroll processing. We do not use the native leave function and prefer to do this on Xero. Overall, Deputy meets all of our rostering and time recording for our business.

Pros

  • Rostering.
  • Time sheet recording.
  • Training register and expiry of training and licences.
  • The report builder allows for easy creation of reports for monitoring expiries.

Cons

  • Needs a dedicated employee reords database.
  • Would like to see vacant shifts as a reporting option.
  • A standard report of who's working where (we use a Location for each of our clients).
  • Positive - Deputy allowed us to stop using paperbased processes.
  • Positive - we can monitor if staff are missing, late or on time.
We are currently looking for a HRIS to manage our staff records.

Deputy meets all of our current needs.
Seamless from the start.
Deputy is very easy to use both at the staff end and management for scheduling and managing timesheets. The geolocation aspect is good and easy to use in ensuring that staff has started and where they were at that time. Setting up new Locations and staff records is very easy.
