Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy to manage the staff's time and attendance. Staff also uses Deputy to request time off and I approve time off from the site. Prior to using deputy time was kept using spreadsheets and time-off requests were submitted via email. Having all of the information in one location allows me to have a better picture of our staffing.

Pros

  • Deputy integrates with our payroll system.
  • Deputy can be accessed from home offices as well as our office.
  • Staff can make notes as to why they are requesting time off. This helps jar their memory later in the year when they wonder why they took time off in January.

Cons

  • It would be great if there were a way to account for paid holidays in Deputy.
  • Deputy saves me time on entering calculating time and attendance for payroll.

I have a staff with a diverse skill set. Some utilize computers more than others. All were able to use and understand deputy quickly. There were no problems implementing Deputy into our office.
Our implementation went seamlessly so I do not have any insights.
We are a small office with a limited budget. Deputy provides the resources we need to keep track of time and attendance while people are working in the office and remotely.
