Overall Satisfaction with Diligent Boards

We use Diligent Boards for all of our Board meeting materials and governance tasks like evaluations and self assessments.

Pros

  • Board Meeting Books
  • Questionnaires

Cons

  • Replacing documents - if they aren't the same number of pages the notes get deleted. I recently found out there is a way to recover them though
  • The automated agenda isn't as customizable as some of the other Diligent products (BoardEffect)
  • We have been promised the calendar feature to be migrated from the admin side to the director side over a year ago, and it still hasn't happened
  • Board Books
  • Resource Center
  • Questionnaires
  • Custom voting
  • Automated our hand voting system to electronic vote, which allows for reports to be pulled
Sometimes the customer service representatives aren't familiar with the problem I am having, and there have been a couple times I have submitted a problem and they can only provide a half effective workaround as opposed to fixing the system.
Security is a major concern - therefore it impacts our decision to have the platform.

Having everything in an online platform makes it a lot easier to work on getting out Board materials instead of printing and mailing.
