Overall Satisfaction with Diligent Boards

We use Diligent Boards for multiple Boards, Committees and Investment Committees across over 500 entities. Diligent Boards enables us to set user access permissions easily to avoid potential conflicts of interest, and provides a secure method of delivering information to Directors, Management and Committee Members. We are in the process of upgrading to Diligent Pro which will provide the secure file sharing functionality.

Pros

Cons

  • When you upload a new version of the paper customer access permissions need to be redone
  • Auto agenda won't allow us to use our own templates

With a recent outage we received no notice from Diligent and board members were unable to access papers during a meeting, resulting in us having to email papers at the last minute.
There hasn't been any impact per say, the impact would be felt if and when Diligent experienced a data breach, hopefully that will not occur as our organisation is highly reliant upon Diligent for storing and sharing of highly sensitive information.
Diligent Boards has superior functionalities to both of these, however, for organisations which have only a few subsidiaries, Diligent may prove too expensive as it is geared towards larger companies.

Yes

Diligent Boards is valuable where organisations have several boards and entities and are able to centralise the board management process. However as it is expensive and there are minimum fees, it may not be the best option in the market for smaller organisations which have only a few entities, for those other options such as Box may be a better option.
