DocuSign is implemented for my customer for the e-signature process, who is a world leading company listed in Fortune 500. I was part of the core team in the implementation and we implemented this for the whole of the contracts department.
In the world of contracts, one can guess the time and energy required till the contract gets into the execution phase. Especially on the documentation signing part with multiple parties involved. Usage of the DocuSign has reduced the cycle time of the signing process between my customer and the external parties. All the parties involved in signing process were able to quickly sign the documents with less efforts.Also it made my customer to enable the paper less process with ease and efficient way. Implementing the DocuSign has completely changed the face of signing process quickly with my customer.
- Reduces the cycle time by elimination of the physical paper transfer between the multiple parties for signature. This is a great feature and enjoyed the benefits as there was always multiple parties for signing contracts involved for each execution. We were able to save a ton of time.
- Ability to integrate with custom built systems, It has effective encryption for encrypting the documents and signatures.
- E-signature for mobile version was a great help, as customers can sign the documents on the go.
- Ability to add the anchor text so that signature alignment is a perfect fit for the document. In addition to it, the guided signature process helps to place the signature in the correct places and not to miss any.
- Multi-language Support is a great feature to count.
- API needs to be improved, I am sure DocuSign is addressing the issues. However, in times API implementation is difficult as it w'ont give the desired results in Live environment despite working well in the sandbox.
- Issues with Envelope are not easy to solve. I wish they had more support material for such issues.
- More Admin controls would benefit from the better control on the signing process, especially for complex documents with more than 2 parties involved for signing.
- The biggest benefit is the reduced time to complete the signing process and the ease of completion. Time is money, we have saved tons of time.
- The efficiency of the process is improved and is the compliance.
- Ability to integrate with the multiple platforms enabled the business to digitize the signature process.
The evaluation process was done with a few other options like HelloSign, RightSignature. But DocuSign won the race due to the ability to integrate with custom-built apps and the extended product platform integrations like SFDC,BOX etc. Features like Security, Mobile experience, automated emailing system are pretty impressive and ease of implementation.
