Overall Satisfaction with Drift

I utilize Drift as our main platform for "live" communication with users/prospects on our site. Giving the ability to easily find support pages, get info on B2B or our B2C offering, or just inquiring about other things that are available on our platform. I've also extended that out a few different ways, leveraging Drift to create dynamic "web-pages" to display PDF content to security teams that prefer to not be sent files directly.

Pros

  • Chat features are strong, easy to understand and work well
  • Pinging and routing are very straight forward
  • Loads of different customization options

Cons

  • The integrations with google often fail, causing issues with scheduling meetings
  • The dashboard can be very slow, hard to navigate through different chats to find lost chats that may have potential for sales leads
  • We've seen many meetings stem from Drift chats, via prospects looking at some of our collateral and then in turn booking a demo
  • Has been a great way to lead people directly to support when necessary
Drift is easy to use if you're looking at just the basic features. It can be a bit complex to navigate for some people but as you get deeper into the weeds of it the complexity only grows. For some things, the constant freezing, log-in issues, gmail integration amongst other things can sometimes slow down the use of Drift.
(Not exactly HubSpot CRM but their equivalent of Drift's features)
Hand-in-hand they are practically the same thing in terms of straight forward chat features, they both integrate on the sight easily, follow the same routing and routines as necessary upon set up, it's a very straight forward process and there is not much differentiation between the two.

Drift is great for any business that is trying to sell a product but has more questions potentially left unanswered. This gives room for people to interact more with your website immediately, keeping them engaged and getting them more info, which in itself is a big win. Additionally, it gives detailed insights into customers, and integrates fairly well with different CRMs.
