Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox is used to store archived records as well as images used for marketing purposes. Staff uploads important information and I comb through the files periodically to keep what is important and purge the rest. It is used across the organization. The only issue we run into is storage space online vs files and [the] learning curve for new staff.
Pros
- It helps organize items very well.
- It is available offline for users.
- It is easy for users to upload items.
Cons
- While it is easy to upload, it can be hard to download items.
- If items are not labelled correctly, it can be hard to track [them] down.
- I'd like the ability to have an open box, [so if] someone has the link they can just upload and not have to log in.
- It has helped productivity.
- It's made it frustrating for others to share documents or add to our folders.
- Archiving is much easier in one place.
OneDrive works well with email servers and adapts well with Microsoft Word, which everyone is well acquainted with. With Dropbox, there is more accessibility where people can use it in a more versatile way. It is available to download without being attached to a whole suite. This makes it easy for newcomers.
