Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

This product was available for all employees and students to use across the organization.

Pros

  • Helps automatically backup data to the cloud.
  • Backup is almost instantaneous and does not require any effort from the user.
  • Makes data available from multiple devices connected to the cloud.

Cons

  • I hope dropbox increase their size limit for free users. 2GB is just not enough.
  • Their search functionality could be improved.
  • Apps like Paper don't add much to the productive process as of now.
Dropbox's web interface is probably the cleanest when compared to their competitors. But once the desktop app is installed, there is very little separating one from the other (in terms of performance and reliability). Security and storage space are obvious concerns, which will vary depending on the context of use.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Dropbox again?

No

Dropbox is great when you'd like all your files to be available on the cloud, so they can be accessed from any device. The biggest drawback is that the basic version comes with only 2GB of storage, which is just not enough. One has to upgrade to one of their paid plans in order to fully benefit from Dropbox.
