Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Primarily, we utilize it for storing various documents associated with engineering projects. This includes a range of files like CAD drawings, memos, reports, spreadsheets, photos, and other materials related to specific software. Additionally, it serves as a platform for sharing files with internal teams, external customers, partners, and any other third parties as needed.
Pros
- Ways to share files
- Ways to create protection and control
- Visualization
Cons
- Managing disk space
- Having fewer interruptions
- Some interface
- Allows the company to manage files in a reliable way
- Allows employees to share important documents
- It has a personalized search, viewing and sharing system
We favor Dropbox due to its superior cost-effectiveness, and the majority of our company's employees are more accustomed to using this platform. Although we experimented with Google Drive for a period, we found that achieving comparable results would require a significantly higher investment. Consequently, my assessment is that Dropbox may not be the optimal choice in terms of compatibility and functionality, but its cost aligns well with the value it provides, making it a more user-friendly and preferable option for the size and structure of our company.
